The Dugong Catch & Bycatch Questionnaire is an alternative and cost-effective approach to collecting and generating standardized data sets across large geographical areas.

Through interviews with fishing communities, the questionnaire identifies dugong populations, fishing pressures and areas where dugongs are likely to be affected by bycatch or vessel strikes.

The standardized, culturally appropriate surveys can be done quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively.

By following the instructions in the Project Manual and the Data Upload Sheet, users can complete questionnaires, input results and receive an auto-generated spreadsheet with charts depicting the results.
