WISDAM is a newly launched, free application that harnesses the power of AI to standardise the image reviewing process in aerial imagery surveys.

WISDAM offers a robust alternative to manned aerial surveys in marine studies. By reviewing images obtained through aerial imaging, this software has been trained to accurately identify and georeference observations of marine species. Combining latest technologies, WISDAM allows for safer and more economical explorations of previously unstudied and remote marine areas in the world.

Currently, the AI model is trained to detect nine different categories of marine fauna including dugongs, whales, dolphins, sharks, rays, turtles, fish, seasnakes, and birds. Already adopted in Australia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, the WISDAM software has proven to be instrumental in changing the future of marine fauna studies.
